Harare: A Zimbabwean man who faked his resurrection in February after his alleged death has DIED, according to a local publication.

Brighton Elliot Moyo made global news following a controversial ‘resurrection act’ by self-proclaimed prophet Alph Lukau.

Moyo passed away last week, and was buried on Saturday, the HMetro said.

Moyo and Lukau found themselves in the middle of mass criticism after the ‘resurrection’ act.

Lukau of Alleluia Ministries was forced to confess to say he had no power to resurrect a person from the dead following mass criticism.

A video of Lukau ‘resurrecting’ Moyo went viral, and sent social media abuzz with users mimicking the ‘miraculous’ act.

Reports at the time said that was not Moyo and Lukau’s first stunt.

The pastor at some point had reportedly ‘healed’ a ‘wheelchair’ bound Moyo.
