New Africa Entertainment has launched live music streaming on Facebook featuring Zimbabwean artistes based in Cape Town, a move which seeks to revive the arts sector which has been hit hard by the covid-19 Lock-down.
The idea behind the online live shows is to provide entertainment during the lock-down which paralysed the music industry after government banned large gatherings in a bid to combat the spread of the Coronavirus.
“We want to minimise boredom and limit cases of domestic violence. We are also aiming at promoting artists by giving them the audience and the platform they deserve,” Faffy Maunga the CEO of New Africa Entertainment said.
“This is an ongoing thing post Covid-19 lock-down, but we are going to focus more on events and live streaming,” she added.
So far, New Africa Entertainment , has worked with notable musicians like Simba Saini, Annah Moore, Mike Hellz, Jnr Tatenda, Swit Bee, Janco Judah and Masimba Mawaza among others.
The group is in the process of engaging Dino Mudondo to be part of the Live Facebook Music initiative.
