Kampala: UGANDAN President, Yoweri Museveni has paid tribute to the late high-flying musician Moses Ssekibogo, best known as Mowzey Radio who died Thursday from injuries sustained in a pub brawl.
Music promoter and one of Radio’s managers Balaam Barugahare said Radio of the Goodlyfe Crew breathed his last at Case Hospital in Kampala.
He had been admitted at the institution after reportedly being beaten into coma following bar fight at De Bar, a local hang-out spot in Entebbe town last week
“Have been told about the untimely death of musician Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio.
“I had only recently made a financial contribution towards his treatment and hoped he would get better. He was a talented young person with a great future ahead of him. May he rest in peace,” Museveni tweeted.
President Museveni contributed Shs30m towards his treatment.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga also posted on twitter: “I’m saddened to hear of the death of the young talented singer Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio. My deep condolences to family and friends.”
